According to the official website news of NXP Semiconductors (Nasdaq stock code: NXPI), the second phase of its AI application innovation center project in Tianjin - AI Innovation Practice Platform was officially launched. Mei Zhihong, Deputy Director of Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Jin Xianghua, Deputy Director of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area Management Committee, Ron Martino, NXP Executive Vice President of Global Sales and NXP Senior Vice President and Dr. Li Tingwei, Chairman of Greater China attended the event and witnessed NXP's determination and practical actions to further deepen the Chinese market and serve Chinese customers.

Based in Tianjin for nearly 30 years, NXP has a leading packaging and testing factory and a large-scale local R&D team. With the support of TEDA, NXP further invested in the construction of its world's first AI application innovation center, which is another achievement of NXP's localized innovation.

In 2021, NXP officially launched the first phase of the AI Innovation Center project - AI Application Demonstration Base, which focuses on displaying more than 100 cutting-edge technologies and terminal applications of NXP and its partners. So far, it has received more than 4,000 visits. The second phase of the project - AI innovation practice platform, with an area of 1,200 square meters, will empower partners to carry out localized innovation through technical training and leading R&D platform, integrating six functions of education training, technical exchange, brainstorming, reception, entertainment group construction and virtual experiment to provide a full range of services and support for customers, partners and college students.

One of the highlights of the innovation practice platform is the Cloud Lab. As NXP's first full- line laboratory opens to the outside world, the Cloud Lab allows users to watch NXP's latest products and demonstrations in real time through the network, and supports online debugging, code update, automatic testing and seeking support. With the rapid development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the innovation practice platform will become a hub for local ecological collaboration, multi-site online linkage, and a platform for inspiring innovation. The majority of small and medium-sized enterprises are expected to conveniently link global resources, catalyze more local innovation, then take a step ahead to obtain stronger competitive advantages.

Using the AI Application Innovation Center as a platform, NXP is also continuously expanding local cooperation. NXP has officially announced cooperation with China Telecom on 5G, Internet of Things and other fields, and established the "5G+X Application Joint Innovation Cloud Laboratory"; and jointly announced the establishment of a strategic partnership with the Tianjin Technology Innovation Center, focusing on promoting talent training and strengthening the integration of production, education and research.
