The 4th entrepreneurial delegation organized by Algeria’s National Startup Accelerator, A-venture, visited iMakerbase on November 1 for a tour and exchange session. The delegation, composed of seasoned entrepreneurs from across Africa, came with a keen interest in Shenzhen’s hardware sector and high expectations for iMakerbase’s incubation services. Zeng Xia, General Manager of iMakerbase’s International Department, warmly welcomed the delegation and presented an in-depth overview of iMakerbase’s hardware supply chain services and global incubation experience. Both sides engaged in a productive dialogue. Members of the delegation expressing that iMakerbase's wealth of experience and high-quality resources in innovation and entrepreneurship would provide valuable support for Algerian entrepreneurs.
Renowned as the leading "O2O Innovation Supply Chain Brand," iMakerbase champions the concept of "international collaborative incubation," empowering global tech teams to efficiently transform technological ideas into reality and achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. The accelerator has a significant international footprint, with incubation centers and innovation stations in technology hubs such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United States, Italy, and Canada. In recent years, iMakerbase has hosted close to 30,000 international innovation teams and organizations, establishing itself as China’s foremost innovation platform in the Belt and Road Initiative and the gateway for international tech teams entering Shenzhen and China.
The cooperative ties between A-venture and iMakerbase have strengthened through multiple visits and discussions. On August 2, Counselor of Embassy of Algeria in Beijing, and the CEO of A-venture visited iMakerbase, holding in-depth discussions on advancing China-Africa technology cooperation. Then, on September 2, an innovation delegation jointly initiated by the Embassy of Algeria in Beijing and A-venture visited iMakerbase to discuss opportunities for cross-border innovation and entrepreneurship for Africa. Currently, A-venture and iMakerbase are exploring the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a strategic partnership aimed at linking resources across China and Algeria. This partnership would facilitate Shenzhen’s high-tech companies in expanding into African markets and support African innovation projects with pathways to industrialization, thereby jointly advancing China-Africa collaboration in technology and innovation.
As globalization continues to accelerate, the ties between China and Africa have grown increasingly robust. Shenzhen, as China’s technology innovation capital, now sees new opportunities in tech collaboration with Africa. The partnership between iMakerbase and A-venture comes at a perfect time. Looking forward, both parties plan to deepen their collaboration, exploring more innovative cooperative models and building a broader platform for China-Africa tech exchanges. With joint efforts, China-Africa tech cooperation is set to yield even greater results, contributing to the prosperity and development of both regions.
